You can of course divide it up into easily managed sections. The Ayrshire Walks trails offer everything from the novice to expert walker with suitable refreshment points along the way.

Muirburn B&B is in the heart of Burns Country so whilst our guests, you are perfectly placed to visit the attractions related to the life and times of the Scottish bard Robert Burns. The Burns National Heritage Park, Burns House Museum and the Bachelor’s Club at Tarbolton to name a feware all within a 15 minute journey. You can also visit Dumfries nad see where he wrote Tam O’Shanter and many of his famous writings or songs.

Culzean Castle, designed by Robert Adam, is within easy travelling distance of 30 minutes. As well as being open to visitors, a busy events programme runs throughout the year and the beautiful gardens and stunning interior of the Castle provide a magnificent backdrop for these events. While traveling see the fascinating “Electric Brae” and how you can travel downhill by going uphill!

The Gaiety and Palace Theatres within 20 minutes drive offer a year round programme of spectacular shows presenting international and local stars.

Rozelle House, now a major display venue, and the McLaurin Art Galleries are well worth a visit for a dash of culture!

The Citadel Leisure Centre has everything needed to burn off the calories - an Olympic size swimming pool, diving pool, fun flumes etc, badminton, squash, gym and much more.

As we are approximately 10 minutes from Ayr Town Centre, there is
easy access to the excellent shops for some retail therapy in
specialist local shops and national names e.g. Debenhams.

For a trip with a difference enjoy a day trip on the famous Waverely

during the summer months and facilities include a self-service
restaurant, two fully licensed bars and a heated observation lounge

From Ardrossan, 20 miles up the coast from Muirburn, you can board
the ferry and visit the Isle of Arran.
